IYOVIA Responds to Complaint from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission

International Markets Live Inc., which operates under the IYOVIA brand name, today provided the following response to a lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) alleging that IYOVIA breached the Federal Trade Commission Act (“FTC Act”), the Telemarketing and Consumer Fraud and Abuse Prevention Act (“Telemarketing Act”) and the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (“ROSCA”).

IYOVIA is pleased that after such an exhaustive 3 ½ year investigation the narrow scope of the Commission’s lawsuit does not challenge the validity of our compensation plan and business opportunity structure. We are not a university but are proud that we have provided reasonably priced foreign exchange and cryptocurrency training to hundreds of thousands of happy customers in over 40 countries and that the Commission’s own records reflect very few consumer complaints.

We will vigorously defend against the governments’ novel claims that IYOVIA is somehow a “telemarketing” company and its website is not now in compliance with the “Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act”, the FTC Act, or Nevada law. We are disappointed that the complaint is focused on years-old historical claims and IYOVIA practices of people who are no longer with the company and that do not represent IYOVIA today. It is surprising to IYOVIA that contrary to recent Presidential Executive Order, the suit includes race-baiting disparate impact claims and was filed when the parties were engaged in active negotiations over a potential resolution to the investigation, particularly as such negotiations were initiated at the request of remaining Commission staff.

IYOVIA remains fully committed to ensuring that customers have the highest quality products and services and that the terms on which those products and services are offered are transparent to the consumer.
